What Makes Vancouver Inside Out Different

Most sites and guides about visiting Vancouver give reviews of expensive hotels and world-class dinning. Vancouver certainly has many choices for those, but that’s not why you’re here, is it? You’re here to experience a city nestled in between the ocean and the mountains. You don’t need to spend $100 on a meal to enjoy it, right?

Good, because you’ve come to the right place.

Getting the Most out of Your Time and Money

This site won’t suggest you stay at Fairmont Pacific Rim (around $350/night), or eat at the Blue Water Café (over $30 for mains). Rather, you’ll get advice and reviews for things that leave you money to do what you are in Vancouver for (incidentally, we’ll spend a lot of time talking about the best beers to drink, and where to find them!).

You’ll also get honest reviews of activities and events and suggestions on low or no cost activities. You won’t directed to the Grouse Mountain Skyride ($40), rather you’ll find out how you can hike or bike up Grouse Mountain for a cheaper and far more fulfilling experience.

Knowing What You’re Looking For

Vancouver Inside Out was started and is run by someone who knows what you’re looking for. I spent several years travelling around Europe and Australia, I studied overseas and I moved to Vancouver 5 years ago.

From those experiences, I have a pretty good idea what budget travellers, students and newcomers to Vancouver are looking for, and I’ll do my best to bring it to you.

Most of all, though, I will give you honest reviews of restaurants, activities and events that are never influenced by anything other than the quality of the experience.

Help Build Our Community

Mostly, though, Vancouver Inside Out is dedicated to you and needs your help to provide the best information. Get involved, help provide answers and provide feedback and suggestions to make Vancouver Inside Out the best source for information for Vancouver.
