Other Good Restaurants

Stepho’s Souvlaki: Greek, mains around $10. If you can stand waiting in line, Stepho’s is work the trip. The food is good, the prices are amazing and I dare you to finish an appetizer and a main. Suggestion: House garlic dip or Mousska. Map

The Eatery: Japanese. Excellent vegetarian options expect a meal to cost $15-20/person. I have mixed feelings on The Eatery, but on good experiences, it is pretty damn good. My best advice is to go during the week, I have better experiences than on the overcrowded weekends. Suggestions: Fat Elvis (deep fried avocado) and for desert, Mars Attacks (Deep fried Mars Bar on ice cream). Website    Map

El Taco: Burritos: Mexican burritos, mains around $7-8. Great Burritos and great hot sauce. They don’t have much in the way of selection, but what they do have is excellent. Suggestions:  Chorizo burrito smothered in hot sauce. Website    Map

Las Margaritas: Mexican, mains around $15. They claim to be Vancouver’s favourite Mexican restaurant and they might just be right. Always popular, it has good food and good margaritas. Website    Map

Café Crepe: Crepes, burgers, sandwiches. Mains around $10. Café Crepe is a bit of a funny place. Part French style café and part bar… but it works. Whether you are in mood for a crepe and coffee or a burger and beer, they have you covered and at very reasonable price. Website    Map

3 G Vegetarian Restaurant: Chinese, mains around $10. All vegetarian. An interesting take on Chinese Food, as everything is vegetarian. Funny thing is, you’d never know. The sweet and sour ‘pork’ tastes just like it should, as does everything else. Highly recommended for a new experience. Map

Al Basha: Falafels, kebabs, donairs. Mains around $6. Excellent vegetarian options. If you are in the mood for a falafel at 2am, this is the place for you! And, for a chance, they deep fry fresh falafel batter when you order, rather than just throwing it in the microwave. Recommendations: Falafels, lentil soup. Map

True Confections: Desserts, around $8. Great atmosphere, excellent serve and superb desserts. Whether your weakness is cake, pie, cheesecake or specialty coffee, True Confections has you covered. Two locations, one on Broadway at Alma and one downtown, so no excuses! Website  Map
